Introduction
Completing the Exams
Lesson 5 and 10 are designed to prepare you for the course examinations, both of which are available on the Quizzes page. Each requires an access code to open.
As with all IUHS exams, these exams are taken under the supervision of a proctor. Be sure to inform your potential proctor that your exam will need to be downloaded and printed, and then once completed it must be scanned to a PDF file and uploaded to Canvas.
The following is the procedure for these lessons.
- Request to take the appropriate exam by completing this Exam Application Form, also located under lessons 5 and 10 on the Syllabus. The application will ask for contact information for your proctor, and gives guidelines for who you can use as a proctor. Once approved by IUHS, an exam code will be sent to the proctor to allow them to open the exam. Do not schedule an appointment with the proctor until you hear from IUHS that the exam code was sent.
Please direct all questions involved with the exam application process to the IU High School Program office or email IU High School Exams.Your instructor does not administer the exams. - You may request the exams after you have completed the lessons leading up to each exam. Since the exams test your knowledge of the topics from the preceding lessons, you should wait to take the exams until you have had the opportunity to look over your graded assignments. The best way to learn is to understand your mistakes.
- Rework the questions from the lessons prior to the exam for better understanding. Questions on the exams will be similar in format and content to the questions from the assignments. Pay particular attention to your instructor’s comments and spend time to correct your mistakes on the assignments so you do not repeat those on the exams.
- You must have an exam average (the sum of your two exams divided by two) of at least a 60% to receive credit for this course, regardless of your assignment average.
